Charity starts at home
Cast members from the popular Sunday night
historical drama Downton Abbey helped to raise over £45,000 for the Chilterns
MS Centre recently at a special charity dinner organised by Macc Events and
held within the splendour of Hedsor House.
Hosted by Robert James-Collier and Allen
Leech, who play scheming under butler Thomas Barrow and driver-made-gentleman
Tom Branson in the show, 115 guests were treated to a truly grand evening
starting with a Champagne reception in the venue’s magnificent Centre Hall.
This latest fundraiser follows a host of other charitable events that
have taken place in recent years at the stunning Georgian country house as its
owners, the Shepherd family, are keen that it plays its role in the community.
