Downton Abbey filmed at Hedsor House
Hedsor House makes an appearance on Downton Abbey.   Hedsor House is not only a perfect venue for country house weddings and for corporate events, it’s also perfect as a filming location, with numerous film sets shooting in and around Hedsor House in what has been a busy 2014 so far. In particular, the fifth series of ITV’s period drama Downton Abbey was filmed in the House during April this year. The Centre Hall was used for a Fashion Show attended by Lady Mary and her Aunt Rosamund and was where she met Charles Blake, whilst the Ball Room was transformed for a dining room scene for Lady Mary and Mr Blake. The cast members of Downton Abbey are no stranger to Hedsor House after they helped raise £45,000 at a local charity dinner earlier in the year. A superb summer for weddings at Hedsor House
Summer 2014 was a record breaker for weddings at Hedsor House. 

During June, July and August, 2014, an amazing 34 happy couples tied the knot in our magnificent country house wedding venue in Buckinghamshire, just 40 minutes from central London. During the celebrations the couples’ 5,850 guests enjoyed nearly 26,000 scrumptious canapés, which were washed down with 3,300 bottles of champagne. 

The summer season culminated in a three-day Asian wedding celebration for 1,350 guests in a 1,500 square metre marquee erected in Hedsor House’s stunning grounds that feature breath-taking views of the River Thames.   In addition, we have continued to underpin our film location credentials during the summer.
