On 18th February 2012, The British Olympic Rowing Team will be competing against the British Olympic Kayak Team... in 'Hedsor's Kitchen'.
The black-tie event will pit the two teams to each cook a stunning three-course meal to over 100 guests in our Ballroom all in aid of Sport Relief. The Olympians will be swapping their Gold medals for goat's cheese and gratins in what is set to be a fantastic evening.
This summer they hope to bring Olympic sporting glory to the nation but for one night only, the Olympic Rowing Team and Olympic Kayak Team are seeking culinary glory in the kitchens of Hedsor House, in a unique fundraiser for Sport Relief, 'Hedsor's Kitchen'.
On the evening of
Saturday 18th February, guests will experience a treat as the athletes test
their culinary skills and bring their competitive zeal to the kitchens of
Hedsor House.
The Olympic
community is set to join the unique occasion and enjoy a superb auction with
memorabilia from legends of their sport as well as unique training experiences
from Olympic athletes.
Rower of Women's
Eight Natasha Page said, “Everyone wanted to be involved in Hedsor's Kitchen
for Sports Relief, to qualify other team members had to endorse their team
mate's chef credentials. To that end we will be proudly fielding a team who's
cooking we ourselves would be happy to eat!”
Rival Team
Captain, and member of the GB K4 Men's Team, Andrew Daniels said, 'Whether
buying tickets for 'Hedsor's Kitchen', or making a small TEXT or online
donation, we would really appreciate your support.'
Hamish Shephard,
Partner of Hedsor House said, 'We are absolutely delighted to be supporting
Sport Relief and to be getting behind Britain's Olympic athletes. With gold
medalists in the kitchen, it will no doubt be an unforgettable evening!".
The worthy event
is organised by Hedsor House, Party for the Podium and Melissa Webb Caterers
who will be assisting in the kitchen. The squads will be utilising their
existing social media time to hype their contest, encouraging people to attend
or donate to help raise money for the event.
